Election party which also marked the introduction of GERMAN TV in North America. Live election

den USA verbreitet.
Sie können GERMAN TV sowohl über den Satelliten TelStar
5 (für den
Direktempfang auf 97 Grad West, 12,122 GHz,
Verschlüsselungssystem
NAGRAVISION) als auch über GE-1 (für Kabeleinspeisung
auf 103 Grad West,

empfangen.
Der monatliche Abonnementpreis für GERMAN TV beträgt ab

Musikanten”, “Marienhof”, “Forsthaus
Falkenau”,
“Löwenzahn”, “Tigerentenclub”, dazu
die politischen Magazine und
Dokumentationen aller drei Sender. Für die Fußballfans
dann der Höhepunkt
am Sonntag: die Berichterstattung von der
Fußball-Bundesliga.

On February 1, 2002, German TV will be broadcast
throughout the United
States by GlobeCast on satellites TelStar 5 (for direct
reception, 97
degrees West, 12,122 GHz, Encryption NAGRAVISION) as well
as GE-1 (for cable
station downlink, 103 degrees West, 3,802 GHz, Digicipher
2).
Beginning May 1, 2002, there will be a $15.00 US monthly
subscription charge
for German TV, and until that date you will receive it at
no cost.
The twenty-four hour news and information programming
from Deutsche Welle-TV
will still be broadcast worldwide just as before. In the
U.S. you can
continue to receive it via satellite or through local
cable companies which
rebroadcast it.
If you are currently a customer of DirecTV, you can
receive GERMAN TV as
well as DirecTV programming by upgrading your system. You
keep the
receiver from DirecTV, but must buy a GERMAN TV system as
well. You will
also have to exchange your existing dish for a new
elliptical satellite dish
which will receive both DirecTV and GERMAN TV.
If you receive your television programming via cable and
are not able to
have satellite equipment set up, please contact your
cable network provider.
GERMAN TV will be making an effort to get our program on
the cable network.
In February 2002 a seven-hour daily Test program will be
launched. On April
1, 2002 the full 24-hour daily programming will replace
it.
The program consists of 80% ARD and ZDF programming and
20% DW-TV
programming. GERMAN TV will offer shows like - Tatort,
Tagesschau, Heute
Journal, Wetten dass…?, Lustige Musikanten,
Marienhof, Forsthaus Falkenau,
Loewenzahn, and Tigerentenclub. GERMAN TV will also show
current affairs
programs and documentaries from all three stations. For
soccer fans, the
highlight will be on Sundays: German Bundesliga coverage.

IMPORTANT NOTES: Transformers do not convert cycles (frequency). Motorized products which are cycle sensitive (clocks, stereo turntables, etc.) may run faster or slower when converted to run on foreign electricity. Televisions will not receive broadcasts in most foreign countries unless they are multi-system, but can be used with VCR's to play tapes recorded in country of origin.
